These Terms and Conditions govern your access to and use of the Lombia website and any purchases made through it. By using this website or placing an order, you agree to be bound by these terms.


About Lombia

What materials are used in Lombia frames?

Lombia frames are crafted from premium Japanese Takiron and Italian Mazzucchelli acetate, internationally recognised for their durability, colour richness, comfort, and finish. Depending on the collection, frames are fitted with high-quality CR39, photochromic, or prescription-compatible lenses. Each frame features Lombia's signature Nguni-inspired engraved temple core, celebrating African craftsmanship and storytelling.

Where are Lombia frames made?

Lombia frames are manufactured by specialist eyewear producers with expertise in premium acetate eyewear. Components and materials are sourced from internationally recognised suppliers, including Japan and Italy, before being assembled to Lombia's specifications and quality standards.

Who owns Lombia?

Lombia is a South African eyewear brand owned by Orme & Meko (Pty) Ltd, a Johannesburg-based company.

Is Lombia black-owned?

Yes. Lombia is a proudly black-owned South African luxury eyewear brand founded by Noko Malatjie. The brand was established to create world-class eyewear inspired by African heritage, craftsmanship, and contemporary design while building a globally recognised African luxury house.

What makes Lombia different?

Lombia combines premium international materials with African storytelling, limited-edition production, and distinctive design. Unlike mass-produced eyewear brands, Lombia collections are produced in highly limited quantities, making each frame a collectible piece that reflects both craftsmanship and cultural identity.

Is Lombia a South African brand?

Yes. Lombia was founded in Johannesburg, South Africa, and draws inspiration from African history, culture, and modern creativity. The brand's mission is to establish African luxury eyewear on the global stage while remaining rooted in authentic storytelling and exceptional craftsmanship.


Orders, Pricing & Availability

All prices displayed on the Lombia website are quoted in South African Rand (ZAR) and include Value Added Tax (VAT) where applicable.

While we make every effort to ensure pricing and product information is accurate, Lombia reserves the right to correct any errors, inaccuracies, or omissions at any time, including after an order has been placed. In such cases, we will contact you before processing your order.

Certain products, including limited-edition collections, handcrafted pieces, and exclusive releases, may be subject to quantity restrictions. Lombia reserves the right to limit or refuse orders where stock availability, suspected resale activity, or exceptional demand warrant such action.

Product availability is not guaranteed until your order has been confirmed and payment has been successfully received.


Payment

Which payment methods do you accept?

We accept Visa, Mastercard, Yoco and PayFast payment methods. All payments are processed securely through trusted third-party payment gateways.

Is my payment secure?

Yes. Lombia does not store your card details. Payments are encrypted and processed using secure payment systems designed to protect your personal and financial information.


Delivery & Returns

Do you ship nationwide?

Yes. Lombia offers complimentary insured shipping throughout South Africa.

International shipping may be arranged on request and may be subject to additional shipping, customs, duties, and tax charges.

What is your returns policy?

Lombia offers a 14-day return period from the date of delivery on unworn products returned in their original condition and packaging.

Eligible returns must:

  • Be unworn and unused
  • Be free from scratches, damage, or alterations
  • Include all original packaging and accessories
  • Be accompanied by proof of purchase

Lombia does not offer cash refunds.

Approved returns will be issued as store credit only, valid for 6 months from the date of issue. Store credit is non-transferable and may be redeemed online or in-store.

Prescription lenses, custom orders, limited-edition special orders, and sale items are not eligible for return unless defective or required by applicable law.

What if my order arrives damaged?

Customers must notify Lombia within 48 hours of delivery and provide photographs of the product and packaging. Approved claims may be repaired, replaced, or credited at Lombia's discretion and in accordance with applicable consumer protection legislation.


Intellectual Property

Lombia is a registered and protected brand owned by Orme & Meko (Pty) Ltd trading as Lombia.

All content appearing on this website, including but not limited to:

  • The Lombia name and logo
  • The Lombia monogram and trademarks
  • Product designs and creative works
  • Photographs, videos and imagery
  • Artwork, graphics and illustrations
  • Website content, copy, and marketing materials

are the exclusive property of Lombia and are protected by applicable intellectual property laws.

No content may be copied, reproduced, distributed, modified, published, displayed, or used for commercial purposes without Lombia's prior written consent.


Product Representation

Lombia strives to display products as accurately as possible. However, variations may occur due to individual screen settings, lighting conditions, photography, and manufacturing processes.

As many Lombia products are handcrafted or produced using premium materials such as acetate, metals, and natural finishes, slight variations may occur between products. These characteristics are not defects but form part of the unique nature of the product.


Limitation of Liability

Nothing contained in these Terms and Conditions will limit or exclude any rights or remedies available to consumers under applicable South African law, including the Consumer Protection Act 68 of 2008.

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Lombia shall not be liable for any indirect, consequential, incidental, or special damages arising from the use of this website or the purchase of any product.

Our liability in respect of any claim relating to a product shall be limited to the purchase price paid for that product, except where prohibited by law.


Governing Law

These Terms and Conditions shall be governed by and interpreted in accordance with the laws of the Republic of South Africa.
